CACUBO: A volunteer-led association

As a volunteer-led organization focused on professional development in higher education, CACUBO relies on the efforts of its committees.


Joining one of CACUBO’s many committees provides significant opportunities for professional development in higher education. As a volunteer-led organization without paid staff, we operate through a committee structure – and our high-quality programming and events are only made possible through the efforts of our volunteers.

We invite you to take a leadership role within CACUBO by participating on a committee. There are many different committee types, with varying roles and responsibilities to meet your needs and interests. Our committees allow you to positively impact and guide the association, and enable you to share your professional and institutional insights with other members.

Professional development in higher education is CACUBO’s primary focus, and our success as a professional development association is dependent on quality contributions from our members. There is no better way to enhance your CACUBO experience than by volunteering to serve on a committee that interests you. From administrative committees focused on the operation of CACUBO, to professional development programming committees charged with planning and coordinating each year’s events – joining a committee is a great way to leverage your existing skills, or develop new ones!

Note: Some committee descriptions list specific term lengths. Other committee terms may run shorter or longer, or have the option to renew involvement.

Audit Committee

This committee audits the financial records for all of CACUBO’s events and activities. The committee also reports its findings to the membership each year at the Annual Meeting.
