SUCCESS FOR ACADEMIC AND UNIT BUSINESS OFFICERS
In response to popular demand, CACUBO is offering a
professional development experience targeted for Academic
and Unit Business Officers. This event will be presented
as a one-day current issues workshop on Tuesday, February
9, 2009, in St. Louis, MO. Academic and Unit Business
Officers are in key roles in higher education accounting,
budgeting, and human resource compliance and face unique
challenges. This workshop is designed to provide up
to date training with the goal of ensuring success for
these vitally important business officers.

is only $150. The meeting will be held at the Hilton
St. Louis at the Ballpark, 1 South Broadway, St. Louis

Workshop is offered on February 10, 2009, the day before
the St. Louis professional development workshop on February
11 & 12, 2009. Attendance at the St. Louis Workshop
is not required to attend the Current Issues Workshop.

Kathleen T. McNeely
Kathleen is the Associate Vice President of Finance
and Executive
Director of Financial Management Services at Indiana
University. Kathleen’s responsibilities include
accounting, tax
compliance and reporting, financial reporting, capital
assets, nonstudent
receivables, payroll, accounts payable, student loan
administration and cost accounting. She is currently
a member of
the NACUBO Research Universities Council and was a member
of
NACUBO’s Accounting Principles Council from 1997
to 2003,
serving as chair in 1999. She is the 2003 recipient
of NACUBO’s
Daniel D. Robinson award, which recognizes individual
excellence
and leadership in the advancement of college and university
accounting and reporting. Kathleen is a frequent speaker
at
conferences and seminars dealing with accounting standards,
internal
controls, fund accounting, and other fiscally related
topics. Kathleen
holds a B.S. in Finance from the Kelley School of Business
and a
Master’s in Public Finance Administration from
Indiana University.
Greg Holliday
Greg currently serves as the Director of Talent Management
for the
University of Missouri System Human Resources. In that
role, he is
responsible for the implementation of the President’s
Academic
Leadership institute, as well as other initiatives including
employee
engagement, performance management and succession planning.
As
a licensed psychologist, Dr. Holliday also has academic
appointments in the Department of Health Psychology
(School of
Health Professions) and the Department of Educational,
School and
Counseling Psychology (College of Education) at the
University of
Missouri-Columbia.
